Portillo's is a chain restaurant. On a steamed poppy seed bun, it's expertly topped with all the essentials: mustard, relish, celery salt, sliced tomatoes, a kosher pickle, and sport peppers. Everything from the typical fairly moist to extra dipping, side gravy, or no gravy at all. If you'd like, you can also add cheese (cheese sauce, American, cheddar, or mozzarella). It was really, really nice, however I'm sure there are restaurants out there that might do this a little bit better! Chicago-based We always go to the Portillo's location close to Knotts Berry Farm for our favorite Chicago dogs. We also had their baked French bread with an Italian beef sandwich. We also decided to add hot and sweet peppers to it. I just have to say, delicious! The sauce was really delicious, the meat was tender, and the peppers contributed a lot! You can choose how you want your gravy to be made; we chose to have ours dipped. We tried it with the beef hot dog when we first visited. We didn't understand that ordering a polish dog could elevate an already delicious dog to a whole new level until our second visit. We've never had a Chicago dog quite like this one! Great indoor vibe lots to see.

I finally tried this place that I have had on my list for so long! The service is very quick and the atmosphere inside is really cool and different, the char burger was really good...to be honest, everything we ordered was very tasty and the order came out quickly. I don't live in the area, so I don't know if I'd be back, but I would recommend trying it out at least once! They have so much parking outside as well and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's also in the same parking lot as Walmart and Burlington and many other stores, so you can eat and shop at once lol.

Went here on a Sunday after church, 12pmsh. The place was packed but was able to get some seats. Ordered my food and waited 20 mins for my food. It is an order and wait process. (Wait 4 your number to be called on a loud speaker) Received my spicy chicken sandwhich and drink. Spicy Chicken sandwhich was not too bad. Had a little kick to it. I was pleased with my meal. Overall, I recommend this place. Parking might be alittle hectic, pending what hours you go since you are at the mall parking lot. The place has good ambiance. Clean restaurant. I only gave it 4 of 5 stars. The person that took my order was alittle on the rude side. Speaking from my experience only. Note: This picture was downloaded online. I think I've had this place bookmarked for over 10 years. I just don't know why I didn't go but I'm glad I was finally able to go with my family & friends. We met here for a late lunch & wow, so good! You basically order your food then go find a seat. There's tables inside & a huge section outside. The line goes by pretty quick. I got the #1 with a side of cheese sauce & a chocolate cake. My husband got the #1 as well but with hot peppers & my toddler got the chicago dog. Which I tried & wow, so good. The cheese sauce really pulled everything together for me. I think I could drink that sauce lol. The cake? Absolutely amazing. Reminds me of Matilda lol. Only downfall is that I wish they had Dr Pepper lol it would've really put the whole meal at a 10 for me

Are you ready for an Amazon beef dip sandwich? This place rocks! Been coming for years. Even saw Jay Leno here devouring a Chicago beef sandwich Get the regular with spicy peppers. The large has a sausage included and not the same. Side of fries with cheese sauce is tasty! Cold beer served in iced cold frosty glasses. Alcohol line is separate so order your non alcoholic beverages with your meal. Their chopped salad is delicious too! We prefer the patio dining but the have indoor seating AND a drive thru option. We come here at least once a year.

YUM YUM YUM! First time at Portillo's and was impressed! I got the bacon cheeseburger, and added grilled onions. The meat patty had a lot of flavor and the burger overall was well seasoned. I also got a fries with the cheese sauce. So delicious & such generous portions! The line to order & the wait for food was around 20 mins. It was worth the wait! Definitely recommend.

I love the convenience of the drive thru! Portillo's has pretty good food. And I like that you can hit the drive thru and still get the same quality of food. The service is good and quick. Ambiance is laid back. I enjoy the plant based options. I ordered a plant based hot dog, with bbq sauce. I skipped all the other fixings, just wasn't in the mood for those. The hotdog was great. And I also ordered some cheese fries, because why not? They were delicious too. And topped it all off with a sweet tea. Yum! That sweet tea was super sweet and I loved it.
